In some locations the planters were fixed to ledges 3.6m off the lower ground floor, meaning maintenance of live plants would be extremely difficult. By using high quality artificial plants in this location we could avoid passing on a stressful maintenance job to the new owners and with only a few hours of sunlight in the various courtyards due to neighbouring tall buildings, using durable artificial planting rather than the real thing also removed the stress of constantly needing to replant live plants that would find the conditions difficult.
