Exterior Design

We would all like the house that stands out from the rest. Whether you are building a new home, renovating your existing home or wanting to sell, exterior design is just as important as the interior.

When it comes to exterior design, there is a lot to think about, such colours and textures which compliment the style of your property to landscaping. Exterior renovation can cost thousands but there are a few easy

updates you can do which can help to refresh the look of your home.

1. Replace your front door or paint your existing door: You can choose any colour you like for your front door, but think about the period of your property and consider the style and colours of the surrounding properties and decide whether you wan't a contrast or a complimentary colour. Painting the door and the frame in the same colour will make it look bigger. Black always looks great and is well suited to Victorian houses, or try sage green shades for pretty cottages. Modern homes look great with contemporary natural oak finishes or dramatic dark grey tones. If you are replacing your door, Urban Front have a wide range of simply stunning designs and colour choices.

2. Create Symmetry: Balance and symmetry are important factors in achieving a well designed exterior creating curb appeal. Try framing your front door with stylish planters and topiary trees either side. Use eye catching, contemporary square planters for modern homes or boxwood spirals and lollipop topiary trees to add a touch of grandeur and elegance to period properties.

Here are a few ideas of stylish front door and planter combinations that we love.
